Strawberry Citrus Juice ...

Talk about having a good juice to wake up to in the mornings, this is it! I can remember my mother serving us up a glass of fresh orange juice with our breakfast on Sunday mornings. Back in the day when they use to have those glass juicers, I'm sure you all know the ones.

Well today they have one's that are a little more modern. You don't have to do the twisting either. Yesterday I went to the produce market and loaded up on some Beautiful Blood Oranges 2/$1 they were. I thought, I would get more this way then in the bag where there is only 6 or 7. Besides, I spent the same as I would have if I'd bought a bag.

This juice was inspired by the redness of the blood oranges and the taste was truly Delicious! ...Here's what I did to accomplish the glass of goodness
Drinking a good glass of juice doesn't always mean you have to get store bought. you can make it up on your own and you can add what YOU like in it. There is something about strawberries and oranges that get me going. I love the smell of the oranges as you peel them. That citrus smell permeates throughout the house, just makes you wanna devour an orange, lemon, lime or grapefruit.

When making this juice you can add ice to make it colder and water to stretch it with sweetener if you like as well. For me I just like the freshness of the juice by itself. By adding a little more cut fruit and ice, tops it off nicely.

Here's what you'll need:

2 Blood Oranges
2 Med. White Grapefruit
1lrg Ruby red Grapefruit
10-12 Fresh/frozen Strawberries (stems removed)

Using a citrus juicer, juice the oranges and grapefruit.  Clean seeds from the pulp and add the pulp to the juice. At this time you can add the citrus juice to a pitcher, a nice glass one if you have it. Place strawberries into the blender and add 1/2c of the citrus juice to blend up the strawberries. Pour strawberry mixture with the rest of the citrus juice and stir well and serve your family ...

ENJOY!
